Environmental Impact Assessment for Chosen Plastic Molding Technology
Dufková, Hana ; Kotek, Luboš (referee) ; Krbalová, Maria (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with assessment of environmental load by selected plastic molding technology. The first part is focused on the ecological legislation in the field of mechanical engineering, which also includes the production of plastics, and describes various methodologies for assessing the environmental load. Another chapter is an overview of polymers and their properties as well as the possibilities of plastics processing with description of individual types of production methods. The practical part of this work describes the composition of the produced piece and the injection molding process of plastic production. Its two methods (direct gating and hot sprue method) are analyzed and then the environmental load evaluation is performed using the LCA method – product life cycle assessment. The environmental load of both production methods is assessed.
Environmental Impact Assessment by Machinery Products/Processes
Navrátilová, Jana ; Rozehnalová, Jana (referee) ; Krbalová, Maria (advisor)
This Diploma thesis is focused on the assessment of environmental load of a bottle crown cork. The theoretical part describes the current global environmental problems and a chosen environmental legislation, which may also apply to engineering companies. In thesis is included the description of a various methodologies for assessing the environmental load, from which was a method LCA (product life cycle assessment) for solving the problem chosen. The thesis describes the crown cork and its production. In practical part is made the environmental load evaluation of this product. Three variants of the crown cork are selected, whose life cycles are simulated and analysed. The results of the variants are afterwards compared.
Environmental Impact Assessment for Chosen product
Durda, Tomáš ; Řezníčková, Hana (referee) ; Krbalová, Maria (advisor)
The Master´s thesis is structurally divided into the theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, the author describes current global environmental issues and the impact of the industry on the environment. The current state of the environmental legislation in mechanical engineering, environmental management systems, and methodologies of an environmental impact assessment are described. The practical part deals with the environmental burden of the snowboard production process according to the LCA method. Life cycle inventory is performed to evaluate individual materials whose production is the most environmentally damaging. At the last stage, possible measures are proposed to reduce the environmental burden.
Environmental Impact Assessment of Manufacturing Abrasion Resistant Coatings with Magnetron Sputtering
Krobauer, Jakub ; Holub, Martin (referee) ; Kocmanová, Alena (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the environmental impact assesment of the manufacturing process of cutting tool coatings. Described are current environmental problems and duties of companies affecting the environment. There is a description of methods used in environmental management, one of which is the LCA method. This method is then used to compare environmental impacts of TiN and AlTiN coatings. The thesis describes manufacturing process of these coatings and evaluates environmental impacts for both coatings. These results are then compared and conclusions and recommendations are made.
